SATURDAY 1ST AND SUNDAY 2ND JULY
MAY QUEEN MEMORIES
The Methodist Church Hall, Eagle Brow, Lymm
Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July
11.00am – 3.00pm. £1.00 (pay at the door). Refreshments included

Lymm has celebrated the crowning of the May Queen since the turn of the last century, only breaking off the tradition for the duration of the second World War, and re-starting again in 1948. For many people, the May Queen celebrations have been an integral part of their lives: participating in the processions, enjoying the entertainment and watching the crowning ceremony.

This exhibition will feature a collection of memorabilia donated by those who have been involved over the years: dresses and costumes of May Queens, Rose Queens and their retinue, photos and programmes. Long term residents can enjoy reviving those memories, and newcomers can catch a glimpse of one of Lymm’s most enduring and much loved traditions.

SUNDAY 2ND JULY
LYMM OPEN GARDEN AFTERNOON
12 noon – 6.00pm. £5.00 adults, £1.50 children
Refreshments available in some gardens (see brochure)
Disabled access limited (see brochure). NB. No dogs except for guide dogs

We are delighted to be opening more gorgeous Lymm Gardens to the public this year. From the stately grandeur of the grounds at Lymm Hall, to the modern glamour of a hot tub garden, there is sure to be a garden to appeal to everyone. Many of the gardens will be offering afternoon teas, plant sales and stalls etc. After the sell out success of last year’s event, we recommend that you buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment. All funds raised will be in aid of St Rocco’s Hospice. Tickets and brochure with map can be bought using the ticket offer form, or at the Festival Box Office. Event code 22
