The competition was held on 22 nd . October at Warrington Golf Club. The weather was good; the greens testing and we had great fun. Sixteen players took part. The winner was Chris Birch (nee Heckle) who came in with a very good score of 36 points. Congratulations Chris! We were very pleased that this year the trophy went to a lady. The Visitor's Prize was won by John Davies.
This year we held our first Bowls Competition. Twelve old students and friends took part. This was also arranged for the same day as the golf competition. The event was played at The Saracen's Head, Warrington. The weather was very good and the competition was keen but most enjoyable. Harold Petts was the winner after a points play off with Peter Wilkinson, who took Second Prize with Margaret Wilkinson a close third.

Following the competitions, forty-two players and friends enjoyed a very convivial evening with an excellent meal provided by the Golf Club .The trophies were presented by Kathleen Collin and a Fifty Club' draw also took place
Old Student Nev. Morrall, the Warrington Golf Club Secretary (and last year's cup winner) was thanked for his great help in arranging the golf competition.
