Relative Images
Lymm Festival 2006
In addition to the Photographic Competition this year the Festival is staging a non-competitive display of family photographs called “Relative Images”.
Families based in Lymm* are invited to submit 3 images of themselves. The main criteria are:
- Each image must be taken by a different family member with at least TWO of the photographs being taken by members of different generations.
- Rather than be static portraits, they should also show some action or activity, such as work, hobby or sport.
- Mounting* is permitted although not a requirement
- The maximum size for an image (including any mounting if used) is 130mm by 180mm (roughly 5" by 7").
- The trio of images may (should) be accompanied by a short description on a postcard sized piece of card. Note: where children are involved it is advisable not to disclose any personal details which may help to identify him/her.
- The first 50 trios to be submitted (by June 21st) will be displayed during festival week.
*Notes:
Not all of the family members (whether photographers or subjects) have to reside in Lymm, as long as there is a Lymm connection.
Mounting is not a requirement, but will enhance the display of your photographs. It needn't (and shouldn't) be elaborate. Just sticking the photo onto a piece of stiffish card a little larger in size is sufficient.
