You can be sure of a warm welcome at Lymm Floral Art Group. Our monthly meeting is held at 7.30 pm on the 3rd Monday of each month (no meeting in August and December) at Lymm Village Hall, Pepper Street, Lymm.
You don’t have to be a flower arranger to join us, but just in case you are interested, we hold workshops for all skill levels throughout the year.
2006 was a successful year for both the club and its members.
As always, we enjoyed a full programme of wonderful flower arranging and fascinating chat by NAFAS Area and National demonstrators.
We had a very successful Open Demonstration in April, which raised vital funds to ensure the future of the club.
In May we visited Biddulph Grange to see the fabulous Barry Grey ‘Gild the Lily’ floral designs, and spent a damp afternoon at the beautiful but wet Hodnet Hall Gardens.
In September we celebrated our Coral (35th) Anniversary, with our founder members Dora Williams and Iris Turner, and our Area Chairman Beryl Cotton. Many of our members enjoyed seeing the Arley Hall Floral Extravaganza at the preview soirée in late November, and in early December, we celebrated Christmas ‘at home’ in the village hall, with a warm and festive evening with friends and delicious food and drink.
Lymm Floral Art Group was well represented at a number of floral art competitions over the year, including successes at Harrogate Spring Show, the National Show at Telford, and Cheshire Show.
Our training workshops for Beginners and Intermediates have been well attended and we look forward to the seeing more of the wonderful creations from the rapidly improving skills of our members over the next twelve months.
We look forward to another year of fun, friendship and flowers in 2007, and would love you to join us. Guests are welcome, fee £5.
