Lymm Festival 2004 - 24th June - 4th July

Street Fun & Food Fest

Thursday 24th June
6.00pm - 8.30pm. The Cross. Free

How better to launch the Festival than with a great evening of good food and family entertainment?! Over the last few years this event has attracted more and more people keen to enjoy the feast of goodies laid out by representatives of all that is really fine in the way of food in Lymm.

Lymm has become well known for its variety of good places to eat, from the best of British fare and the delicious cuisine of continental Europe, to the more exotic tastes of Asia. Examples of all these will be available to enjoy. Wander round the stalls, sit and chat and eat, rejoice in a truly gastronomic experience.

Whilst all this is going on, enjoy some first class entertainment. As ever, the evening will start with a bang as Lymm Samba Band set the mood with their cheerful and enthusiastic Latin American style drumming and dancing – the more you cheer them on, the louder they will get!

A welcome first appearance at the Festival, Maynard Flipflap, international star of street theatre, will delight and entertain you with the particular blend of madness and mayhem for which he is renowned. Having wowed the crowds around the world in such places as Canada, New Zealand, most European countries and Bexhill-on-Sea, we felt it was time to let him loose on Lymm. Beware the flying eggs. You have been warned!
