Monday 4th July 2005
A full audience at Lymm Methodist Church , Eagle Brow were treated to a delightful repertoire of singing on Monday 4th July as part of Lymm Festival.
Lymm Young Voices go from strength to strength; they live up to their standard of providing confident and lively performance of vocal arts in young voices aged 7 - 17. Confidence is what Rosemary Jones & Fiona McAvoy have imparted into these youngsters – and it shows in the way they sing!
It is clear that they enjoy what they do and since LYV was formed three years ago they have won several awards in local music festivals.
Lymm Young Voices was founded in September 2002 by Rosemary Jones and Fiona McAvoy. They have introduced the children to an interesting and entertaining concept known as “The Thinking Voice”. This was founded by a Hungarian composer Kodaly (pronounced KODI). The singers articulate by hand gestures and this assists in inner pitching and provides a natural and expressive approach.
Leader & Conductor: Rosemary Jones. (Tel.753376). Accompanist Fiona McAvoy
Lymm Young Voices meets for rehearsal 3.45 - 5pm each Monday
