7pm - 11.30pm. Lymm Hall, Rectory Lane, Lymm * Car park and entrance on May Queen Field, Pepper Street £15 per head. Pre-booking essential. Maximum order of 10 tickets per person (ticket holders must be at least 16 years old)
The Lymm Hall picnic, held again through the generosity of the Cottrill family, has become a major highlight of the Festival. The beautiful setting of the 17th Century house within its charming secluded gardens lends itself to creating the atmosphere which has become such a special feature of the event. It is likely to be a sell-out again, so book early! Compared by Jim Hancock, Lymm resident and experienced BBC presenter, the musical entertainment will be provided by Capriccio, a woodwind ensemble of young music students from the Lymm area, who have played together for many years. The Festival also welcomes Adagio a band who will play a mixture of mellow jazz and pop and rock, and who have played at some of the most prestigious venues in the north west.
Bring along your picnic and any accessories you can carry (see N.B.
below), and enjoy a relaxed evening of fine music, beautiful surroundings and good company.
NB: Barbecues of any kind are strictly forbidden. There will be restrictions on the number of gazebos and where they are placed. Only authorised personnel are allowed into the grounds before 7.00pm. Please be aware that the house and grounds are a family home and therefore treat the place with respect. All litter from your picnic should be removed.
