Lymm Lines, creative writing at the Lymm Festival, this year takes the form of a competition for writers of all ages on the theme, Castles In The Air.
It is up to you how to interpret this phrase, and writers over 17 can then express their ideas in a poem or short story – click below for the detailed rules.
Under 17's may respond in any form – fact or fiction, poetry, prose or play – but must restrict themselves to just one side of A4 paper. Again, detailed rules when you click below.
All the entries are judged anonymously, so anyone can enter, but you'll only have a chance of winning if you get your entry to us with a completed application form and payment if appropriate by the May 1 st closing date. Snail mail only, please (no e-mail entries because of the anonymity procedures!)
All entries will become part of the Festival exhibition, and there will be an informal prize-giving ceremony on Saturday June 26 th at 4pm .
So, what are you waiting for? Happy writing!
